Radiesse (formerly Radiance)

In the San Francisco Bay Area, Radiesse (formerly Radiance) is often used to rejuvenate the face. Radiesse is a gel-like material composed primarily of hydroxyapetite, an important component of our bone tissue. As a gel, however, it is soft (not like bone!).

As a filler material, Radiesse is used to 'fill in' areas of wrinkles or other depressions that would benefit from 'filling out'. At the time of your initial consultation, Dr. Most will personally evaluate you and determine if you are a good candidate for Radiesse injection.

How long will the results last?

This depends on the area of injection. In general, the effect should last 12-18 months or so. Of course, these results can vary in individual patients.

The Procedure

The procedure is performed in the office with topical or local anesthesia. An initial period of swelling is expected and can last a few days. Some patients experience a small amount of bruising in the injected areas.
